This portrait shows a walrus photographed on Svalbard, Norway. I have tried to get a "different" portrait, which is not so easy. The dark background is the body of another walrus that lay in the shade. I lay down flat on the beach to get better "contact" with the walrus. The walrus seemed to be relaxed with the situation, sometimes closing the eye.
